Signing of MOU to support and accelerate the development of Youth and the Arts in Seychelles
On Wednesday 4 May, the First Lady, Mrs. Linda Ramkalawan, Minister Marie-Celine Zialor, distinguished guests witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Ministry of Youth, Sports and Family together with the Seychelles National Institute for Culture, Heritage and the Arts to support and accelerate the development of Youth and the Arts in Seychelles. They were later joined by President Wavel Ramkalawan during a reception at the Kenwyn House.
The three signatories for the MoU included:
• Seychelles National Youth Council (SNYC) CEO, Ms. Penny Belmont
• National Arts and Crafts Council (NACC) Executive Director, Mr. Jimmy Savy
• Creative Industries Executive Director, Mr. Emmanuel D’Offay
The various above entries will promote a solid foundation of cooperation in the fields of culture and youth, with a particular focus on programs and projects which can expand knowledge and build career paths for Seychellois youths in the arts, culture and creative industries.
